We are seeking an experienced Assistant Buyer to join our procurement team at MacFarlane Group. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting our site-based procurement activities while upholding our company-wide national procurement strategy.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the local team of buyers with day-to-day procurement activities, ensuring timely and cost-effective purchasing transactions.
  • Purchase standard and non-standard stock items, maintaining optimal stock levels and reducing holding costs.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of the total supply chain function, identifying opportunities for improvement and cost reduction.
  • Liaise with existing suppliers and source alternative suppliers when necessary, ensuring the best possible service and value for our customers.
  • Administer purchase orders and associated administration, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
