Job Title: Senior Manager, Taxation

Foresters Financial is seeking a highly skilled Senior Manager, Taxation to join our team. As a key member of our taxation department, you will be responsible for leading the preparation and review of tax returns, ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations, and providing expert advice on taxation matters.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Tax Returns: Prepare and/or review working papers to support corporate tax and information returns, complete tax forms and supporting documentation, and ensure timely filing.
  • Tax Compliance and Tax Control Processes: Prepare and/or review quarterly and annual tax provisions, requisition installments and payments, and maintain effective control procedures over the tax process.
  • Audits: Manage the process for year-end external tax audits and other audits by tax authorities, prepare working papers, and analyze and respond to auditors.
  • Research, Planning, and Analysis: Research and analyze legislative and regulatory tax issues, provide recommendations, and assist with tax structuring and planning.
Key Qualifications:
  • Education: University degree in Business or equivalent.
  • CPA: Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) required; Chartered Accountant (CA) preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum 8-10 years of progressive post-graduate tax experience, preferably in the life industry.
  • Skills: Excellent written and oral communication skills, attention to detail, analytical and problem-solving skills, and proficiency in Microsoft applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
