About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Farm Laborer to join our team at NU FAIR-GREEN SOD FARMS LIMITED. As a Farm Laborer, you will play a vital role in the day-to-day operations of our farm, ensuring the smooth cultivation and harvesting of crops.

Key Responsibilities
  • Fertilization and Crop Management: Assist in the application of fertilizers and pesticides to crops, ensuring optimal growth and yield.
  • Harvesting and Crop Handling: Participate in the harvesting of crops, including manual and mechanical methods, and assist in the handling and storage of harvested crops.
  • Machinery Operation and Maintenance: Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment, including tractors, plows, and other agricultural tools.
  • General Farm Duties: Perform general farm duties, including cleaning, maintenance, and repair of farm equipment and facilities.
  • Load and Unload Vehicle: Assist in loading and unloading vehicles with crops, equipment, and supplies.
  • Cut Grass: Assist in the maintenance of grasslands and pastures, including cutting and trimming grass.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required for this role.
  • Work Setting: The successful candidate will work in a rural area, with staff accommodation available.
  • Personal Suitability: We are looking for a team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience: Experience is an asset, but not required. The successful candidate will be required to work 40 to 60 hours per week.
  • Language: The primary language of work is English.
