Position Overview:

As a key player in the logistics sector, Purolator Inc. is dedicated to delivering exceptional service and reliability. The Maintenance Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of maintenance personnel and contractors, ensuring the safety and efficiency of material handling equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the upkeep of all material handling equipment (MHE) to guarantee optimal performance and availability.
  • Supervise and develop a skilled team within the maintenance department, fostering professional growth and expertise.
  • Establish and enforce maintenance protocols and standards to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Conduct thorough inspections of facilities to proactively identify and rectify maintenance issues.
  • Monitor and manage maintenance expenditures, ensuring adherence to budgetary constraints.
  • Cultivate and maintain productive relationships with external contractors and service providers.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance logs and provide regular reports on departmental activities.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations and policies.

Qualifications:

  • A degree in a specialized or occupational field.
  • A minimum of 4 years of relevant professional experience with a recognized designation.

Experience:

  • At least 7 years of progressive experience in managing maintenance teams.

Skills:

  • Proficient in Safety Management and Materials Handling.
  • Strong leadership and process management capabilities.

Work Environment:

This position is based in an office environment, providing a collaborative space for effective management and strategic planning.

Reporting Structure:

The Maintenance Manager reports directly to the Senior Manager of Material Handling and Equipment Maintenance at the national level.
