Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Dietitian to lead our Nourish program, providing nutrition education and support to individuals living with cancer.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver nutrition education programs for individuals living with cancer, in collaboration with the program team.
  • Lead cooking demonstrations and provide take-home program materials and recipes.
  • Work closely with the program team to ensure program content is evidence-based and meets the needs of our clients.
  • Collaborate with Wellspring staff to ensure necessary ingredients and equipment are available for the program.
  • Provide guidance and supervision to Nourish volunteers.
  • Ensure the safe handling, preparation, and storage of food according to the Food Handlers protocol.
  • Record attendance at each program and undertake program evaluation according to Wellspring's procedures.
  • Provide feedback to Wellspring on program content as new research is published or member's questions arise.
Requirements
  • Registered Dietitian with a degree from an accredited university.
  • Registration with a governing professional body (e.g., Canadian Dietitians Association; College of Dietitians of Alberta).
  • Minimum of three years of experience in the delivery of nutrition education in oncology.
  • Current Food Handlers certificate.
  • Preference is given to candidates with experience in group-based program delivery.
