About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Carpentry Specialist to join our team at Stonehelm Construction Ltd. as a key member of our construction crew.

Key Responsibilities
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine work requirements and ensure compliance with building codes.
  • Prepare layouts and use measuring tools to ensure accuracy and precision in construction.
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials to build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems.
  • Fabricate and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware to ensure a high-quality finish.
  • Operate hand tools and other equipment safely and efficiently to complete tasks.
Work Environment

As a Carpentry Specialist with Stonehelm Construction Ltd., you will work in a fast-paced construction environment with varying weather conditions. You will be required to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in noisy and dusty conditions.

Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in the construction industry.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong physical stamina to handle heavy loads and work in physically demanding conditions.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Post-secondary education in a related field.
  • Experience working with safety equipment and gear.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
