Your role within the team:

  • Lead a team of engineers to ensure the effective operation of all electrical, cabin management, and communication systems, including lighting, audio/video entertainment, appliances, cameras, and security systems.
  • Plan, oversee, coordinate, and prioritize activities to meet departmental quality, scheduling, and budget goals.
  • Provide technical guidance to team members to fulfill program requirements.
  • Establish individual objectives and expected outcomes for employees in alignment with organizational goals.
  • Utilize Bombardier Operational Excellence and other methodologies to enhance business processes, improve customer satisfaction, and achieve strategic objectives.
  • Ensure effective task management through collaboration with other engineering departments, internal and external stakeholders, and major partners/suppliers.
  • Communicate execution status, issues, and escalations to your immediate supervisor as necessary.
  • Maintain technical expertise and stay informed about advancements in Cabin Interior Systems.
  • Support workforce planning and budget development activities.
  • Drive continuous improvement within your sector, ensuring adherence to deliverable timelines, supporting production schedules, minimizing waste, and enhancing processes.
  • Oversee the performance and development of all team members while demonstrating strong leadership capabilities.

Essential skills, knowledge, and experience for success:

  • A bachelor's or master's degree in electrical or avionics engineering from an accredited institution.
  • A minimum of ten (10) years of relevant experience in the aerospace sector.
  • Experience with New Development Program phases including JCDP, JDP, PDR, CDR, Certification, Testing, and Entry into Service.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a high level of commitment and the ability to work independently.
  • Excellent management skills for influencing others, resolving conflicts, and solving problems.
  • Demonstrated leadership qualities, strong analytical skills, flexibility, initiative, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Willingness to maintain a flexible schedule to address urgent technical issues during evenings, weekends, and seasonal shutdowns.
  • Results-oriented mindset, capable of working under pressure and managing urgency.
  • Proficient communication skills in both French and English (written and spoken).
