About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead UI Programmer and Team Manager to join our team at Ubisoft Winnipeg. As a key member of our UI programming team, you will be responsible for guiding a group of talented programmers in creating exceptional user interfaces for our games.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a small team of UI programmers in updating and creating new UI features and systems;
  • Balance supporting and mentoring team members, coding, and management tasks;
  • Work with Technical Leads to determine technical needs for the team;
  • Collaborate with production staff, designers, and artists to create tasks and schedule estimates for your team;
  • Establish clear coding best practices and lead regular code reviews;
  • Continuously review the development process and identify areas for improvement;
  • Participate in projects of your own initiative through our Innovation Jams;
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience as a programmer, preferably in the software, tech, or game industry;
  • Knowledge of C++;
  • Familiarity with user experience concepts;
  • Experience with Agile;
Preferred Qualifications
  • Interest in game technology development;
  • Experience in the video game industry or a commercial game engine;
