ELECTRICAL ENGINEER IN TRAINING: We are seeking candidates pursuing an Electrical Engineering Technician program. This role will involve travel across various regions for project support.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct electrical analysis and design for industrial and utility applications.
  • Design and integrate protective relaying systems (SEL, GE, Siemens, Schneider, etc.).
  • Implement automation solutions for industrial and utility substations (SEL RTAC, RTU, HMI, Communications, etc.).
  • Perform electrical studies such as short-circuit, protective device coordination, arc-flash, load flow, grounding, and harmonic analysis.
  • Develop and review electrical drawing packages, including single line diagrams, three-line diagrams, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
  • Design and modify electrical distribution systems, including MCCs, switchgear, breakers, fuses, switches, transformers, and protective relays.
  • Diagnose issues and devise practical solutions to rectify deficiencies in electrical systems.
  • Support field services for maintenance and commissioning activities.
  • Conduct onsite engineering inspections and gather data.
Qualifications:
  • A four-year degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • Familiarity with industrial and utility protection and relay systems.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Knowledge of relevant codes and standards (CEC, IEEE1584).
  • Experience with electrical engineering software such as EasyPower, SKM, and ETAP is advantageous.
  • Understanding of microprocessor-based relays is a plus.
  • A valid driver's license and clean driving record are necessary due to fieldwork requirements.
  • Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
