ELECTRICAL ENGINEER IN TRAINING: We are seeking candidates pursuing an Electrical Engineering Technician program. This role will involve travel across various regions for project support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct electrical analysis and design for industrial and utility applications.
- Design and integrate protective relaying systems (SEL, GE, Siemens, Schneider, etc.).
- Implement automation solutions for industrial and utility substations (SEL RTAC, RTU, HMI, Communications, etc.).
- Perform electrical studies such as short-circuit, protective device coordination, arc-flash, load flow, grounding, and harmonic analysis.
- Develop and review electrical drawing packages, including single line diagrams, three-line diagrams, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
- Design and modify electrical distribution systems, including MCCs, switchgear, breakers, fuses, switches, transformers, and protective relays.
- Diagnose issues and devise practical solutions to rectify deficiencies in electrical systems.
- Support field services for maintenance and commissioning activities.
- Conduct onsite engineering inspections and gather data.
- A four-year degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution.
- Familiarity with industrial and utility protection and relay systems.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Knowledge of relevant codes and standards (CEC, IEEE1584).
- Experience with electrical engineering software such as EasyPower, SKM, and ETAP is advantageous.
- Understanding of microprocessor-based relays is a plus.
- A valid driver's license and clean driving record are necessary due to fieldwork requirements.
- Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
- Excellent attention to detail and time management abilities.
- Outstanding organizational and negotiation skills.
- Exceptional technical, analytical, and numerical capabilities.
- A collaborative team player dedicated to the success of the organization.
- Commitment to ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Salary range: $35 to $50 based on experience.
- Overtime compensation after 8 hours, with double time after 10 hours.
