We are tasked with assessing technology investment and acquisition prospects that propel innovation for our game studios and central technology teams.
Position OverviewWe are seeking a Director of Technology Investments who will report directly to the VP of Technology Growth Strategy. In this role, you will collaborate closely with the VP, as well as teams in Corporate Development, Corporate Strategy, Legal, and various Studio and Technology leaders.
Key ResponsibilitiesAs the Director of Technology Investments, you will oversee all facets of the technology investment process, which includes:
- Identifying and cultivating potential targets
- Developing strategic rationales and conducting due diligence
- Negotiating deals and managing contracts
- Formulating initial integration strategies
Your responsibilities will also encompass:
- Gaining a comprehensive understanding of internal opportunities and emerging technology trends within the gaming sector and related industries
- Creating and delivering assessments and recommendations for Tech M&A, including the preparation of due diligence materials to facilitate informed decision-making
- Collaborating with senior stakeholders to evaluate and recommend financial and strategic technology investments
- Establishing and managing processes for tracking, reporting, and communicating potential investment and acquisition targets to executive leadership and key partners
- Building and nurturing internal and external relationships, including managing connections with industry networks and strategic targets, while promoting cross-functional collaboration to achieve business objectives
The ideal candidate will possess:
- 7+ years of experience in management consulting, strategy, investment banking, private equity/venture capital, or corporate development
- A proven ability to manage multiple complex projects while collaborating with diverse internal and external stakeholders
- A background in the technology and gaming industries is advantageous
