Canstar Mechanical Ltd is seeking a skilled Plumber to join our team. As a Plumber, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems in various commercial, industrial, and residential settings.
Key Responsibilities- Installation and Repair: Install domestic, commercial, or industrial plumbing fixtures and systems, and repair existing systems as needed.
- Design and Planning: Read blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout of plumbing systems, water supply networks, and waste and drainage systems.
- Project Management: Prepare tenders and quotations, schedule personnel, tools, and equipment, and estimate costs and materials.
- Quality Control: Test pipes for leaks using air and water pressure gauges, and determine piping system requirements and pipe sizing.
- Supervision: Supervise a team of 5-10 people, and ensure that all work is completed to a high standard.
- Education: A Plumber Trade Certification and a First Aid Certificate are required.
- Experience: Experience as a Plumber is an asset.
- Certifications: A valid Driver's License (Class 3 or D) and a Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate are required.
- Physical Demands: The job requires physical demands, including bending, crouching, kneeling, and handling heavy loads.
- Work Environment: The job involves working in various locations, including commercial, industrial, and residential settings.
- Compensation: As per collective agreement.
