About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Trauma Therapist with strong leadership skills to join our team at Homewood Health. As a Trauma Therapist and temporary Manager, Addictions, you will be an integral part of a collaborative, inter-disciplinary team focused on delivering seamless services and programs to our clients and customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • As a Trauma Therapist:
    • Provide trauma-informed therapy to individuals, groups, and families affected by traumatic experiences
    • Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and implement therapeutic interventions
    • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic care
    • Maintain accurate and confidential client records
    • Participate in continuous professional development and training
  • As a Manager, Addictions (Temporary Secondment):
    • Lead and manage the Addictions team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality services
    • Oversee program development, implementation and evaluation within the Addictions department
    • Provide supervision, support and training to staff
    • Manage department budgets, resources and reporting requirements
    • Act as a liaison between the department and external stakeholders
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Psychology, Social Work or a related field
  • Must be a licensed therapist (e.g., RP, OCSWSSW, COTO, etc.) with specialized training in trauma therapy
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in trauma therapy
  • Experience in addiction services or a related field is strongly preferred
  • Previous supervisory or management experience is an asset
  • Strong clinical skills with a deep understanding of trauma-informed care
  • Excellent leadership and team management abilities
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Awareness and acknowledgement of the value of using measurement-based care when supporting patients/clients to help guide clinical decision making; experience an asset
