Job Summary

The ECE Assistant will provide support to early childhood educators in carrying out programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children. This role involves assisting with daily activities, engaging children in educational games and crafts, and maintaining accurate records.

Responsibilities
  • Assist early childhood educators in planning and implementing programs that meet the needs of children
  • Engage children in activities that promote learning and development, such as storytelling, singing, and crafts
  • Assist with record-keeping and data entry
  • Participate in staff meetings to discuss progress and challenges
  • Support children with special needs, if required
Requirements
  • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year, or equivalent experience
  • Experience an asset
  • Permanent position
  • English language proficiency
  • 32-40 hours per week
