Job Title: ECE Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and caring ECE Assistant to join our team at Grandma\u0027s House Day Care Ltd.

Job Summary:

The ECE Assistant will work under the supervision of early childhood educators to provide high-quality care and education to infants and toddlers. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a safe and engaging environment that promotes the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide daily care and supervision to infants and toddlers, including bathing, diapering, and feeding.
  • Assist early childhood educators in planning and implementing programs that promote child development.
  • Engage children in activities that encourage creativity, such as storytelling, singing, and preparing crafts.
  • Establish and maintain a safe and healthy environment, including preparing snacks and arranging rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods.
  • Collaborate with early childhood educators to plan and implement activities that promote child development.
  • Communicate effectively with children, families, and colleagues to ensure a smooth and supportive environment.
Requirements:
  • Child development assistant (ECE level 1) or equivalent certification.
  • Basic security clearance and criminal record check.
  • Immunization records.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
Work Environment:

The ECE Assistant will work in a child care centre with a team of experienced early childhood educators. The work environment is fast-paced and requires the ability to adapt to changing situations.
