Perioperative Licensed Practical Nurse

The Perioperative Licensed Practical Nurse is a key member of the healthcare team, responsible for providing high-quality patient care in the operating room environment. This role requires strong clinical skills, effective communication, and a commitment to patient advocacy.
Key Responsibilities- Provide individualized patient care, prioritizing their needs and ensuring a safe and comfortable experience.
- Collaborate with the Registered Nurse and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless continuity of care.
- Develop and implement patient care plans, incorporating evidence-based practices and standards of care.
- Conduct thorough assessments, identifying potential risks and developing strategies to mitigate them.
- Administer medications and treatments, ensuring accurate dosing and documentation.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development of policies and procedures.
- Engage in ongoing education and professional development, staying current with best practices and industry advancements.
- Graduation from an approved school for Licensed Practical Nurses.
- Current registration with the N.B. Association of Licensed Practical Nurses.
- Minimum 1 year recent operating room experience or successful completion of an approved Operating Room Technician course.
- Current BLS for Healthcare Providers.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
- Knowledge of perioperative nursing principles and practices.
- Accountability and responsibility for patient care and outcomes.
- Clinical decision-making and problem-solving skills.
- Organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
