Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Profit Centre Manager to lead our business operations at the Profit Centre. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving business growth while maintaining consistent profitability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Business Development: Develop and implement strategies to increase sales and market share, identify new business opportunities, and build relationships with key customers and partners.
  • Team Management: Lead and manage a team of sales professionals, providing coaching, training, and development opportunities to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed.
  • Financial Management: Analyze financial reports and information to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to increase profitability, improve productivity, and manage assets and expenses.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct market research and analysis to understand customer needs, preferences, and behaviors, and identify opportunities to improve our products and services.
  • Customer Service: Ensure that our customers receive exceptional service, meeting or exceeding their expectations and building strong relationships with key customers.
  • Marketing and Sales: Develop and implement marketing plans and strategies to promote our products and services, and drive sales growth.
  • Safety and Compliance: Ensure that all safety regulations are followed at all customer locations and at the Profit Centre, and that all employees are trained and aware of their responsibilities.
  • Asset Management: Safeguard and maintain all Profit Centre assets, including buildings, trucks, equipment, inventory, and receivables.
Requirements
  • Education: College and/or University degree.
  • Experience: A minimum of 3 years of wholesale distribution experience and a minimum of 2 years in a management or leadership role.
  • Skills: Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office software, strong work ethic, high standard of integrity, driven to succeed, excellent interpersonal skills, and ability to make sound business judgments.
  • Qualifications: Valid driver's license with a clean driver's abstract, strong entrepreneurial spirit, and ability to learn and operate the applicable software system used to process orders.
Preferred Skills:
  • Previous experience with or knowledge of plumbing and building products sold at the Profit Centre.
  • Knowledge of the construction industry.
  • Experience using Trend and Eclipse.
