Opportunities for professional growth, training, and development, and much more...As a Social Media Content Specialist at BDC, you will be tasked with executing various initiatives and ongoing activities to enhance BDC's visibility and engagement across multiple social media platforms, specifically tailored to the needs of Canadian entrepreneurs.
In this role, you will curate, produce, and manage captivating content across our social media channels. Your innovative approach will enhance brand recognition, cultivate community interaction, and amplify our online presence.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Content Development - Generate compelling content for LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, and other relevant platforms tailored to the requirements of Canadian entrepreneurs. Deliver social media posts in diverse formats such as images, memes, and videos for online dissemination. Based on the established social media strategy, lead the content creation process from concept to execution, collaborating closely with the creative services team to ensure alignment with BDC's brand identity. Maintain an in-depth understanding of major social media platform trends, codes, and algorithms to adapt content for heightened engagement. Modify existing BDC content to sustain brand visibility and engagement levels.Collaboration and Ideation - Collaborate closely with agencies and internal stakeholders to foster and manage strong relationships with influencers and subject matter experts. Responsible for recruiting clients, employees, or third parties to serve as social media ambassadors. Provide social media content expertise to colleagues and partners.
Performance Evaluation - Assess content effectiveness using data and analytics tools, focusing on user engagement metrics. Implement a testing approach in content planning for continuous enhancement. Generate performance reports, communicate findings to the team, present recommendations, and develop strategies to boost BDC's organic presence across existing and new social media channels.
QUALIFICATIONS
Proven experience in creating engaging content with a portfolio that showcases your work. Strong familiarity with social media platforms and trends, with the ability to innovate content styles. Proficiency in Adobe Suite for content editing. Strong copywriting and editing skills for social media. Experience with agencies or managing relationships with agencies (an asset). Excellent understanding of the evolving social media landscape. Comprehensive experience in social media strategy development, community management, content marketing, and paid posts. Ability to work autonomously and take ownership of the content creation process. Strong understanding of social media monitoring and reporting tools. Knowledge of the financial, entrepreneurship, or B2B sectors (an asset).
