Assistant Store Manager

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as an Assistant Manager at our Ladysmith Liquor Store. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, leading a high-performing team, and ensuring the smooth operation of our store.
Key Responsibilities:- Supervise and mentor a team of retail staff to deliver exceptional customer service and achieve sales goals
- Oversee the ordering and inventory management of all merchandise and supplies
- Train and orient new hires to ensure a seamless onboarding experience
- Support human resources and payroll-related activities
- Maintain a safe and efficient work environment, adhering to company policies and procedures

The salary range for this position is $43,000-$48,000 per year, commensurate with education, experience, and internal equity. Please note that all positions require a criminal background check, and our safety-sensitive positions will require pre-employment alcohol and substance testing (paid for by Mid Island Co-op). We offer a flexible language requirement, with French not required. The work schedule is 8 hours per day, with a mix of day, evening, and weekend shifts.
