Job Overview

We are seeking a Lead Quality Assurance Engineer to join our dynamic RBC One team. As a vital member of an agile development group, you will engage with a diverse array of technologies and products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop comprehensive test plans, test cases, and scripts based on requirement documentation and user stories.
  • Design and maintain automated testing suites utilizing advanced test automation tools.
  • Execute both manual and automated test cases, document outcomes, and report defects as necessary.
  • Utilize tools such as JIRA, Confluence, and qTest for effective test case management, defect tracking, and reporting.
  • Participate actively in agile ceremonies including sprint planning, grooming sessions, daily stand-ups, demonstrations, and retrospectives.
  • Engage in end-to-end and integration testing, as well as defect triage and scrum meetings.

Qualifications

Hands-on experience in formulating testing strategies, executing test cases, and reporting to senior management for complex multi-application system integrations is essential. A strong understanding of the Testing Life Cycle, Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), and defect management processes is required.

Expertise in Quality Engineering processes, methodologies, and test design techniques is crucial, along with practical experience using tools such as qTest, JIRA, Jenkins, and Confluence. Familiarity with Agile project methodologies is expected.

Experience with test automation frameworks and tools, such as Robot Framework and Selenium, as well as proficiency in scripting languages like Python, is necessary. Knowledge of database testing and SQL, along with experience in Linux and shell scripting, is advantageous.

Skills

We value strong problem-solving abilities, design acumen, and analytical skills, with a focus on innovative testing approaches under tight deadlines. Experience in web automation testing and data pipeline testing is preferred. Relevant certifications such as ISTQB and expertise in Agile testing methodologies are a plus.
