Key Responsibilities
  • The core duties and responsibilities of this role may differ by Aramark location based on client needs and operational requirements.
  • Prepares and cooks a wide range of dishes in accordance with production standards and established recipes.
  • Organizes the workstation with all necessary ingredients and tools.
  • Prepares food items by measuring, weighing, mixing, chopping, and cleaning.
  • Utilizes various kitchen utensils safely, including knives.
  • Operates kitchen equipment such as ovens, stoves, slicers, and mixers.
  • Employs different cooking methods such as baking, roasting, broiling, and steaming on various food items.
  • Presents, garnishes, and portions dishes following set guidelines.
  • Ensures proper food storage by adhering to safety and hygiene standards.
  • Maintains cleanliness and sanitation of work areas, tools, and equipment.
  • Exhibits excellent customer service and a positive attitude towards guests, colleagues, and clients.
  • Follows Aramark's safety protocols, including accurate food safety and sanitation practices.
  • Safeguards company assets.

Qualifications
  • Prior experience as a cook or in a similar role is required.
  • Proven understanding of fundamental food preparation techniques, various cooking methods, and food safety regulations, including proper food handling, sanitation, and storage.
  • Must be able to obtain food safety certification.
  • Demonstrates basic mathematical and counting abilities.
  • Exhibits strong interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal.

This position may involve physical demands such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended periods of walking and standing. Additionally, this role may require uniforms and/or the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
