Job Title: IT Lead – Expansion Project

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced IT leader to join our team at the BC Centre for Excellence in HIV/AIDS. As an IT Lead, you will be responsible for designing and managing end-to-end IT service delivery for our organization. Your expertise will be crucial in implementing a secure and holistic IT system that meets our business needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct a current state review of existing IT systems to identify areas for improvement and ensure alignment with future requirements.
  • Participate in business systems planning meetings with senior medical and operations leaders to define IT requirements and identify opportunities for innovation.
  • Develop and implement a technology refresh program to ensure our IT infrastructure remains up-to-date and secure.
  • Lead the development of an IT business continuity and disaster recovery plan to minimize downtime and ensure business continuity.
  • Collaborate with IT teams and business stakeholders to review and validate current state IT requirements and develop a business case for future state IT solutions.
  • Develop and document IT processes, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with industry and regulatory standards.
  • Engage with stakeholders across the organization, technology service providers, and vendors to ensure IT solutions are aligned with our business needs and expansion roadmap.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline and ten (10) years of experience in progressively more responsible information management or supervisory/management roles.
  • Experience in developing turnkey proposals for IT service delivery, preferably in BC's healthcare environment.
  • Certifications in ITIL, PMP, CCSP/CISSP, CCNA, Microsoft Azure, or AWS are preferred.
