Kitchen Helper Job Description

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Kitchen Helper to join our team at Oya Japanese Restaurant Sun peaks. As a Kitchen Helper, you will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our kitchen.

Responsibilities:
  • Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, and work surfaces.
  • Operate dishwashers and wash dishes, glassware, and flatware by hand.
  • Store food and supplies in designated areas.
  • Receive and unpack supplies, and restock inventory as needed.
  • Remove trash and recyclables from the kitchen.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the dining area, including tables, chairs, and floors.
  • Assist with food preparation and presentation.
  • Follow health and safety protocols to prevent cross-contamination and maintain a clean environment.
Requirements:
  • No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • Will train on the job.
  • Permanent employment opportunity.
  • 30-40 hours per week.
  • English language proficiency.
