Job Summary

The Financial Controller, Group Partners, is responsible for overseeing the financial operations of Garaga inc. and ensuring the company's financial health and stability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coach a team of 4-6 people in their daily activities.
  • Contribute to the production of management reports for the executive team.
  • Manage the end-of-month processes and optimize the preparation of financial statements for the various companies under their responsibility.
  • Analyze financial performance and compare it with budgets and previous years' data to provide valuable financial information.
  • Ensure the implementation and respect of internal control procedures and policies, monitor compliance, and implement corrective measures when necessary.
  • Collaborate closely with various departments to ensure that financial policies and procedures are understood and applied to optimize processes.
  • File and submit monthly tax returns and calculate corporate taxes.
  • Participate in special projects aimed at improving financial processes and/or projects with business partners.
  • Contribute to financial analyses and project evaluations.
  • Prepare the annual financial audit file and maintain close relationships with auditors to ensure a smooth process.
  • Responsible for relations with tax authorities and government agencies.

Required Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or business administration, with a CPA title.
  • 5-10 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Knowledge of accounting standards and financial controls.
  • Excellent teamwork and adaptability skills.
  • Proven autonomy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to be organized, autonomous, and proactive.
  • Functional knowledge of English (spoken and written).
  • Experience in the manufacturing sector: an asset.
