In this role, you will autonomously manage and uphold at least one process, equipment, or system in accordance with autonomous maintenance (AM) standards, utilizing your technical expertise to enhance line and/or system efficiency to fulfill business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

You play a crucial role in transforming how the world enjoys snacks. With guidance, you will operate and maintain machinery to achieve our safety, quality, cost, delivery, sustainability, and morale goals. You will implement all standard operational procedures on your equipment using AM (autonomous maintenance) and PM (progressive maintenance) standards, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and conducting quality assurance activities. You will identify and report losses in your area and equipment.

Additional Role Insights

Conducting maintenance and emergency repairs on oven systems in the processing area, demonstrating proven skills in brazing, welding, and pipe repairs in hot and humid conditions Maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing steam and chiller systems in a fast-paced setting Performing safety inspections, lubricating, and making necessary repairs or adjustments on machinery as needed Continuously monitoring machines in operation to identify issues; exercising judgment in making necessary adjustments to uphold quality control standards. Willingness to work various shifts, including weekends, nights, and holidays. Interpreting blueprints and operating machine shop equipment. Sharing insights, learnings, and best practices with fellow mechanics to enhance machine efficiency and reduce breakdowns and downtime. Maintaining accurate maintenance records and logs. Collaborating with the Engineering department regarding machine modifications and the installation of new machinery and production systems. Working closely with operational colleagues to ensure high-quality products are produced while maintaining budgeted efficiencies. Understanding and adhering to SOPs and work instructions Participating in and supporting all safety programs, policies, and initiatives within the manufacturing facility Comprehending and following food safety systems and procedures Ensuring all produced products meet GMP and food safety standards Performing other duties as assigned by the supervisor

Minimum Qualifications:

Steamfitter / Pipefitter License 307A or 4th Class Stationary Engineer Certification + 2 years of experience in operating and maintaining steam and chiller systems preferred Proven welding skills (Brazing, Stick, and MIG welding)

Physical Requirements:

Ability to work in hot and humid conditions exceeding 35 degrees Celsius for extended periods Moderate physical effort required, including bending, lifting, and manual dexterity.

Work Environment

This position is situated in a food manufacturing environment. Common exposure to noise, raw materials, dust, and variable temperatures Personal protective equipment is mandatory, including protective footwear, hearing protection, hard hats, and safety glasses as necessary Initiative, strong communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with minimal supervision. Capability to meet physical demands of lifting and maneuvering heavy objects. Sound judgment and problem-solving abilities. Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel Results-oriented with a strong sense of urgency and focus.
