Job Title: Traffic Signals Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Traffic Signals Engineer to join our team at Primary Engineering & Construction. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing electrical systems for traffic signals and transportation infrastructure.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement electrical systems for traffic signals and transportation infrastructure
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and deliver electrical systems
  • Conduct site inspections and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Prepare and review technical reports, tender documentation, and field support
  • Ensure that engineering deliverables comply with applicable regulations, standards, and corporate procedures
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Electrical Engineering, or a related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in traffic signal design and operations
  • P.Eng. or eligibility for registration as a Professional Engineer in Alberta
  • Strong working knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Safety Code and Alberta Transportation Standards
  • Proficiency with engineering software, including AutoCAD, MicroStation, and AGi32 lighting design software
