Key Responsibilities- Leadership and Management: Provide strategic leadership and direction to the nursing team, ensuring that care is delivered in accordance with our organization's vision, mission, and values.
- Clinical Operations: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the nursing department, including the implementation and monitoring of clinical programs and processes.
- Team Development: Foster a culture of excellence and continuous learning, providing coaching and mentoring to team members to enhance their skills and knowledge.
- Quality Improvement: Identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to enhance the quality of care delivered to our residents.
- Communication and Collaboration: Work closely with other departments and stakeholders to ensure seamless communication and collaboration, promoting a positive and supportive work environment.
- Education and Experience: Current registration with the provincial College of Nurses and a minimum of 3 years' experience in clinical nursing in seniors' care.
- Skills and Abilities: Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to coach and mentor team members. Strong customer service experience and proficiency with computerized documentation.
- Personal Qualities: A passion for delivering high-quality care and a commitment to excellence, with a willingness to upgrade and maintain personal and educational qualifications as required.
- Education: Bachelors of Science in Nursing or equivalent post-diploma education.
- Knowledge and Experience: Knowledge of provincial Long Term Care Act & Regulations and experience in a similar leadership role.
