Role Overview

The Field Construction Coordinator for Electrical and Mechanical Systems plays a crucial role in providing direct support on-site, acting as a key link between Construction Superintendents and various trades. This position ensures that project scheduling, work quality, and overall objectives are met efficiently. We are seeking candidates with expertise in Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) coordination specifically for the construction of substantial civil buildings.

Main Responsibilities

Key Duties Include:

  1. Upholding Project Safety standards at all times.
  2. Thoroughly reviewing and comprehending the project timeline.
  3. Supervising and facilitating the installation of project-related equipment and components, ensuring that contractors meet their contractual obligations and adhere to specifications and timelines.
  4. Acting as a communication bridge with project management, providing updates on inspections, subcontracting, progress, and any delays.
  5. Engaging in project meetings and leading regular discussions regarding BIM execution and deliverables.
  6. Assisting in the integration of project data, including schedules, estimates, documentation, cost reports, and performance metrics.
  7. Interpreting designs and technical drawings for the team.
  8. Monitoring RFIs, Shop Drawings, As-built drawings, and other essential project documentation.
  9. Proactively identifying and addressing any site-related challenges that could hinder project progress.
  10. Offering technical expertise and guidance to support installation contractors.

Additional Qualifications:

  • Excellent communication skills with a knack for resolving complex challenges.
  • Ability to thrive in a cost-effective, customer-oriented, and collaborative environment.
  • Strong team player with the capability to coordinate the work of drafting professionals.
  • Experience on large-scale public infrastructure projects is advantageous.
  • A valid driver's license is required, ideally with a clean driving record.

Work Environment: The successful candidate will be required to work on an active construction site, which involves working at heights, outdoors in various weather conditions, climbing stairs and ladders, and navigating challenging terrain.
