Education RequirementsNo formal degree, certificate, or diploma is required for this position.
Work EnvironmentThe role involves working in various settings, including:
- Commercial
- Industrial
- Residential
Expect to encounter a dusty environment while providing on-site customer service.
Key ResponsibilitiesAs a Floor Covering Installer, your tasks will include:
- Inspecting, measuring, and marking surfaces for coverage
- Measuring, cutting, and fastening underlay and padding
- Preparing flooring plans and scheduling installations
- Measuring, cutting, and installing resilient floor coverings
- Preparing and installing hardwood flooring
- Inspecting and repairing damaged floor coverings
- Preparing floors for new installations
- Removing existing floor coverings and contaminants
A valid driver's license and personal transportation are necessary for this role.
Physical DemandsThis position is physically demanding and requires:
- Handling heavy loads
- Bending, crouching, and kneeling
- The ability to distinguish between colors
Applicants should be prepared to answer the following:

While previous experience is an asset, it is not mandatory. This is a permanent position offering 30 to 40 hours of work per week, with English as the primary working language.
