This is a full-time position at First Commercial Bank, Toronto Branch.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a positive, careful, and self-motivated team player to join our team as a Loan or Credit Officer. The successful candidate will be responsible for evaluating loan applications and documentation, informing applicants to provide additional information or documents, and completing loan-related documents or reports.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate loan applications and documentation to ensure compliance with bank requirements.
  • Inform applicants to provide additional information or documents to improve loan application.
  • Complete loan-related documents or reports, including financial analysis and risk assessment.
  • Submit applications to the Head Office for recommendation and approval.
  • Review and update loan credit reports or files regularly.
  • Review loan-related agreements and ensure compliance with approved terms and conditions.
  • Maintain client relationships or monitor clients' business performance and collateral status.
  • Ensure KYC or AML requirements of loan clients in accordance with bank and government regulations.
  • Assist with loan disbursement-related operations or loan review matters.
  • Communicate effectively with other departments within the bank.
Qualifications:
  • BA degree or above with Business and Accounting-related major or courses.
  • Over 1 year of banking experience preferred, with familiarity with credit or loan underwriting.
  • Advanced knowledge in Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Good sensitivity and analytical ability, with patience for multi-tasking.
  • Strong ability to perform detailed work independently under time constraints.
  • Good command of spoken and written English and Mandarin.
