Senior Project Manager, Rail Signals & Communications

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Manager to lead our Rail Signals & Communications team in delivering complex projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead project pursuits and prepare proposals to secure new business.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients to drive business growth.
  • Plan and manage project execution to ensure timely delivery and budget adherence.
  • Identify and allocate necessary resources for project success.
  • Develop project scope, identify deliverables, and prepare work plans, schedules, and budgets.
  • Manage project scope, schedule, budget, quality, safety, and change management.
  • Lead project controls staff and project coordinators to ensure project success.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of project scope to identify scope creep and initiate change management.
  • Ensure timely internal and external communication throughout all project phases.
  • Comply with AECOM's Quality Management System methodology.
  • Participate in monthly project reviews and conduct progress meetings to exchange information and resolve issues.
  • Ensure all project close-out documents are submitted upon project completion.
  • Act as a mentor to junior project management and controls professionals.
  • Obtain the MAP (Managing AECOM Projects) Certification.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant engineering discipline + 6 years of relevant experience in project management in rail for signals OR Technical Diploma + 8 years of experience in project management in rail and/or signals.
  • Driver's License.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 8 years or more of relevant experience in public rail and transit.
  • PMP certification.
  • Strong technical knowledge and experience in various sub-disciplines.
  • Proven experience managing multiple projects of various types and complexities.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and team skills.
