Position Summary:

We are seeking a full-time Senior Marketing Executive, who will report directly to the President. The compensation and title will align with the candidate's experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Establish strategic marketing objectives that align with the company's growth ambitions.
  2. Design and execute a comprehensive marketing strategy to achieve these objectives.
  3. Enhance brand visibility and foster customer engagement across various platforms.
  4. Develop content strategies tailored to business goals and target audiences across all channels (digital, print, social).
  5. Engage in the annual strategic planning process of the organization.
  6. Create strategies to strengthen brand positioning and identify opportunities for brand expansion.
  7. Formulate and implement an ecommerce strategy to boost online sales and optimize website performance.
  8. Promote brand awareness and generate innovative marketing ideas for partner and private label products.
  9. Oversee brand management to ensure consistent application and usage.
  10. Manage ecommerce data and workflow to ensure a seamless shopping experience.
  11. Collaborate with web and software developers to maintain site integrity in line with company strategy.
  12. Establish the marketing department's annual budget and oversee marketing expenditures.
  13. Lead and develop a high-performing marketing team to execute impactful campaigns.
  14. Supervise daily operations of the marketing department, approving all creative outputs.
  15. Work closely with product segment management to drive growth through relevant marketing tools.
  16. Coordinate with shared services departments to support marketing initiatives.
  17. Engage with external partners to uncover new opportunities for marketing effectiveness.
  18. Stay informed about industry dynamics and customer strategic priorities.
  19. Manage measurable metrics to assess campaign effectiveness.
  20. Prepare regular internal reports and presentations regarding marketing strategies and metrics.
  21. Conduct market research and analysis to pinpoint challenges and growth opportunities.
  22. Represent the organization and act as a brand ambassador at industry events.
  23. Support and guide the organization of effective marketing events.
  24. Consistently embody Spicers' core guiding principles and uphold the leadership pledge.
  25. Perform other related duties as necessary.

Qualifications:

  1. A post-secondary degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field; an MBA or advanced degree is preferred.
  2. A minimum of 8-10 years of marketing experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership capacity.
  3. A proven history of developing and executing successful marketing strategies.
  4. Extensive experience in brand management.
  5. A strong grasp of ecommerce strategies, digital marketing, content creation, and multi-channel marketing.
  6. Demonstrated capability to manage and optimize marketing budgets effectively.
  7. Experience collaborating with web software developers to enhance online presence.
  8. Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to build and manage high-performing teams.
  9. Proficient in analyzing marketing metrics and translating data into actionable insights.
  10. Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written.
  11. Strong organizational and project management abilities.
  12. Industry knowledge of paper manufacturing and distribution is considered an asset.
  13. Dependable and reliable with a self-directed approach.
  14. Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities efficiently.

Working Conditions:

  1. Ability to work on a computer for extended periods, which may lead to strain on wrists, eyes, and back.
  2. Capability to work in a busy, open office environment.
  3. May require long hours of concentration necessitating attention to detail.
  4. This position may face deadlines that can induce significant stress.
  5. Work may occasionally require weekend and/or evening hours.
  6. This role may involve occasional travel to various locations.
