We are seeking a highly skilled Senior/Intermediate Electrical Technologist to join our team at Wood Group Canada Ltd. in the Voisey's Bay, NL office.

This is a 2 weeks on/2 weeks off rotation opportunity that requires experience in the Industrial/Mining industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering technology, with a focus on power and controls.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and experience with cable tray layouts, single line diagrams, electrical schematics, general arrangements, lighting layouts, and general electrical design concepts.

Key qualifications include:

  • Electrical Engineering Technology diploma or equivalent, with a focus on power and controls
  • 8+ years of relevant experience, preferably in the Industrial/Mining industry
  • Local codes and standards knowledge
  • Experience with underground mining power and control systems, an asset
