Job Opportunity at Wood

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior / Intermediate Electrical Technologist to join our team at the Voisey's Bay, NL office. The ideal candidate will have experience in the Industrial / Mining industry and a strong background in electrical engineering technology.

In this role, you will be responsible for designing and implementing electrical systems, including cable tray layouts, single line diagrams, and electrical schematics. You will also work closely with our team to ensure that all electrical designs meet local codes and standards.

Requirements
  • Electrical Engineering Technology diploma or equivalent, with a focus on power and controls
  • Highly developed communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Experience with cable tray layouts, single line diagrams, electrical schematics, general arrangements, lighting layouts, and general electrical design concepts
  • 8+ years of relevant experience, preferably in the Industrial / Mining industry
  • Local codes and standards
  • Experience with underground mining power and control systems is an asset
