Position Title: Park Safety Officer

At Société des établissements de plein air du Québec (Sépaq), we are committed to safeguarding and enhancing our natural landscapes for the enjoyment of everyone.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safeguard our natural environments for the benefit of visitors.
  • Oversee the national park to deter unlawful activities.
  • Ensure visitor safety and adherence to wildlife conservation regulations.
  • Engage in educational initiatives by responding to visitor inquiries and occasionally leading interpretive programs.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of park resources through data gathering and assessments.
  • Address emergencies and assist visitors as needed.
  • Conduct maintenance tasks on facilities, equipment, structures, and pathways.

Qualifications:

  • Self-motivated, proactive, and knowledgeable about the natural environment.
  • High school diploma equivalent with four seasons of relevant experience OR a vocational diploma in a related field with two seasons of experience.
