Job Summary

Huawei Technologies Canada Co., Ltd. is seeking a highly skilled Researcher to join our team. As a Researcher, you will be responsible for building optimized deep learning architectures for computer vision or natural language processing tasks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deep Learning Architecture Development: Design, implement, and integrate deep learning models and algorithms for computer vision or natural language processing tasks.
  • Model Optimization: Optimize deep learning models on various hardware platforms to improve performance and efficiency.
  • Research and Development: Stay up-to-date with recent advances in deep learning and related fields, and apply this knowledge to drive innovation in our products and services.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate closely with researchers and engineers to provide solutions and drive insights from experiments.
  • Publishing: Publish scientific papers and present research findings at conferences and workshops.

Requirements

  • Education: Master's or Ph.D. in computer science, computer engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: Experience in applying deep learning models to computer vision or natural language processing tasks, and demonstrating this through work experience, internships, or projects.
  • Technical Skills: Experience in deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch and TensorFlow, and strong software development skills.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Excellent knowledge of at least one deep learning architecture, and experience in Bayesian Optimization, Reinforcement Learning, Evolutionary Algorithms, Pruning, Knowledge Distillation, and Quantization.
  • Publications: Publications in top-tier conferences.
