About the Role

The Head of Upper School at Upper Canada College is a senior leadership position responsible for overseeing the academic and co-curricular programs for students in grades 8-12. This role requires a seasoned academic leader with a proven track record of success in educational leadership, faculty development, and strategic planning.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and implementation of academic programs and policies that align with the College's mission and strategic goals.
  • Oversee the recruitment, development, and evaluation of faculty and staff in the Upper School.
  • Collaborate with the senior leadership team to advance the College's strategic goals and objectives.
  • Develop and manage budgets for the Upper School, ensuring effective resource allocation and fiscal responsibility.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with parents, students, and faculty to promote a positive and inclusive school culture.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will possess:

  • A Master's degree in Education or a related field, with a strong background in educational leadership.
  • Proven experience in academic leadership, faculty development, and strategic planning.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with diverse stakeholders.
