Job Summary:

The ECE Assistant will assist early childhood educators in carrying out programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of child development principles and be able to create a safe and engaging environment for children.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist early childhood educators in planning and implementing child-care programs
  • Develop and implement child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children
  • Provide care and supervision to children in our centre
  • Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers working with children
  • Plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security, and well-being of children
Requirements:
  • Child Development Assistant (ECE Level 1) certification
  • Emergency Child Care First Aid and CPR certification
  • First Aid Certificate
  • CPR Certificate
  • Valid driver's license and own vehicle (or willingness to use public transportation)
