Senior Construction Estimator Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Construction Estimator to join our team at a prominent self-performing developer in Toronto's high-rise residential market.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and manage construction budgets for mid-rise and high-rise residential projects
  • Analyze construction drawings, specifications, and proposals to prepare accurate estimates
  • Engage in effective oral and written communications with contractors regarding estimates
  • Coordinate pricing from suppliers and subcontractors, incorporating it into estimates
  • Oversee the appropriate distribution of documentation upon project award
  • Maintain project files and correspondence, ensuring organized documentation
  • Assist with RFP and General Contract tender submissions
  • Collaborate with Development, Implementation, and Construction teams to ensure project success
  • Foster positive relationships with Project Managers, Consultants, and subcontractors
Requirements:
  • Diploma or Degree in Architecture, Engineering, or equivalent experience
  • Previous experience in high-rise construction is an asset
  • Proficiency in reading and understanding construction drawings and specifications
  • Site experience
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team
  • Attention to detail and strong communication skills
  • Highly organized with a drive for continuous improvement
  • Solid organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
