Established in 2009, the Global Technology Services (GTS) division is a prominent shared service center for IT infrastructures within the European financial sector. GTS supports a significant portion of Société Générale's IT frameworks both domestically and internationally.

The Infrastructure Security team within GTS is dedicated to ensuring that the security measures and processes are in compliance with Group policies, GTS IT security standards, and local regulations. This team also operates a Security Operations Center (SOC) that plays a crucial role in monitoring and responding to security incidents.

Automation Initiatives
  1. Enhance the SOC's efficiency by automating the generation of documentation, dashboards, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to allocate more time for incident response.
  2. Implement automation for online research tasks to improve the speed of information gathering during incident management.
  3. Develop automated testing for Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) use cases.
  4. Engage in additional automation projects aimed at Threat Hunting and testing correlation rules.
Detection Responsibilities
  1. Create detection use cases to trigger alerts for malicious activities on the network, ensuring the SOC remains informed about the latest detection techniques to address emerging threats.
Incident Response
  1. Analyze alerts generated by new detection rules to confirm their effectiveness and relevance, facilitating the handover of high-fidelity alerts to third-party support.
  2. Develop Incident Response Playbooks (IRPs) for each alert created during the testing phase.
Mitigation Strategies
  1. In the event of a security breach, the SOC is responsible for containing the incident and eliminating the threat.
Candidate Profile
  1. Propose innovative automation solutions to streamline SOC analyst tasks.
  2. Develop scripts to gather critical information from the internet to assist in:
  • Threat detection.
  • Alert triage.
  • Alert classification.
  • Identifying data leaks in public cloud platforms.
Construct use cases to identify potential threats to the organization.Document all use cases and develop IRPs for each detection.Evaluate the quality of detections established by the team.Support third-party SOC in investigative processes.Adhere to established protocols for responding to confirmed incidents.Participate in post-incident reviews following significant security events.Qualifications

Education: Master’s degree from a recognized Business or Engineering institution.

Language Proficiency: Fluent in English (B2-C1).

Technical and Soft Skills:

  • Strong proficiency in MS Office applications.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
  • Competent in scripting languages.
  • Fundamental understanding of IT networking.
  • Familiarity with security event management or SIEM tools is advantageous.
