Program Manager for Specialized Programs

About the Role:

The University of Toronto is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Program Manager to join our team at the Rotman School of Management. As a key member of our Program Services team, you will play a critical role in delivering exceptional program experiences for our students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the day-to-day operational needs and service delivery requirements of our programs
  • Act as the first point of contact for program-related inquiries
  • Work closely with the Associate Directors, Program Services and Academic Directors to deliver an exceptional program
  • Advise students on academic and/or financial matters by providing options and consequences incorporating personal circumstances impacting academic success and an understanding of an individual's background
  • Determine logistical details and activities for events and/or programming
  • Organize, summarize, and circulate program and/or course evaluations
  • Analyze service delivery and/or internal processes and recommend improvements
  • Coordinate the preparation and distribution of program and/or course material

Requirements:

  • Minimum four years related administrative experience in planning, organizing, and managing programs
  • Demonstrated experience in supporting curriculum planning and academic program delivery
  • Experience with online learning tools and event management
  • Experience and sound knowledge of best practices in advising and student services
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, high-pressure, and high-volume service-oriented environment, with a demonstrated ability to meet tight deadlines and focus on attention to detail
  • Demonstrated high level of customer service skills
  • Demonstrated ability to speak in large group settings
  • Highly developed oral and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to meet different deadlines and manage competing priorities
  • High customer service skills with sensitivity to various levels of expectation from corporate executives, faculty, staff, and suppliers
  • Strong computer skills with demonstrated working knowledge of computer software and products, online textbooks, as well as MS Office

  • Experience working in a University setting with graduate students
  • Experience with Quercus, MS Teams, and Zoom
