We are seeking a skilled Meat Cutter to join our team at Puddicombe House Inc. as a Retail Butcher. In this role, you will be responsible for cleaning meats to prepare for processing or cutting, cutting, trimming, and preparing standard cuts of meat, removing bones from meat, cutting fish into steaks and fillets, training meat cutters, making special sausages, and working in a permanent position with a 30 to 35 hour workweek.
Key Responsibilities- Cleaning and Preparation: Clean meats to prepare for processing or cutting, ensuring high-quality products for our customers.
- Meat Cutting and Trimming: Cut, trim, and prepare standard cuts of meat, adhering to company standards and quality control measures.
- Meat Processing: Remove bones from meat, cut fish into steaks and fillets, and perform other meat processing tasks as required.
- Training and Development: Train meat cutters to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
- Special Sausage Production: Make special sausages, utilizing your expertise and creativity to develop new and exciting products.
- Work Environment: Work in a fast-paced retail environment, maintaining a clean and safe workspace, and adhering to company policies and procedures.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a related field.
- Language: English language proficiency.
