University of Saskatchewan is seeking a highly skilled Senior Cloud Solution Architect to join our Information and Communications Technology team. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and managing cloud services for our university.
Job Summary:The Senior Cloud Solution Architect will be responsible for analyzing and translating business and technical requirements into a long-term architectural blueprint for cloud solutions and integrations primarily in AWS. You will work closely with research, network, infrastructure, security, and integration teams to achieve the intended outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:- Analyze technical environment and identify areas of opportunity for improvement and solution development
- Manage and track technology plan for cloud services, including stakeholder coordination, consultation, and facilitation
- Implement cloud services within the portfolio, including consulting with stakeholders, provisioning services, and developing orchestration for both pilot and production implementations
- Aid in planning projects in detail, clearly identifying project scope, budget, and schedule as well as project risks
- Diploma, certificate, or degree in a related discipline (computer science, engineering, etc.)
- Proven track record of applied experience in AWS cloud services
- Excellent problem-solving skills, ability to think strategically, and weigh risks
- Effective interpersonal, communication, and organizational abilities in both team and client settings
- Graduate degree in a related discipline
- Associate certification as an AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional
