Job Title: Superintendent

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Superintendent to join our team at Parsons Corporation. As a key member of our Critical Infrastructure team, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning, coordination, and execution of construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Participate in the preparation and organization of construction sites, ensuring compliance with project specifications and safety protocols.
  • Coordinate the ordering and management of equipment and materials, making budgetary decisions in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Work with the Project Manager to create and manage teams, ensuring the right personnel are assigned to tasks based on their qualifications.
  • Assist in the selection of technical options and equipment, collaborating with Design Offices to ensure feasibility and safety.
  • Represent the company professionally, adhering to standards and practices, and promoting a culture of excellence.
  • Oversee maintenance and general services on-site, ensuring the smooth operation of facilities.
  • Provide direction to Subcontractor Supervisors, setting objectives, checking schedules, and ensuring quality and safety standards are met.
  • Ensure the execution of integrated sub-contracted works and manage the constraints of other parties working on-site.
  • Implement site-specific procedures, ensuring consistency with Health and Safety Plans and EcoPlans.
  • Continuously analyze and suggest improvements in performance, finalizing works budgets and explaining variances to management.
Requirements:
  • Diploma or bachelor's degree in Construction, Engineering, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Health and Safety training applicable to construction sites.
  • Minimum 5+ years of progressive construction project management and/or site supervision experience, preferably in Canada or Alberta.
  • Proven track record in leading, uniting, and directing teams on large-scale construction projects.
  • Adaptability, capable of teaching and passing on knowledge.
  • Proven problem-solving skills and ability to analyze data and identify trends.
  • Previous experience in large-scale projects, earthworks removals.
