About the Role

Brenta Construction Inc. is seeking a skilled Concrete Finisher to join our team. As a Concrete Finisher, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality finish on our concrete projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Concrete Finishing: Fill hollows and remove spots on freshly poured cement to achieve a smooth finish.
  • Equipment Operation: Operate power vibrators to compact concrete and ensure it meets the required specifications.
  • Surface Preparation: Level top surface concrete according to grade and depth specification, and impart the desired finish to concrete surfaces using hand and power tools.
  • Installation and Repair: Install anchor bolts, steel plates, door sills, and other fixtures, and repair, resurface, and replace worn or damaged sections of concrete structures.
  • Quality Control: Read and interpret specifications or follow verbal instructions to ensure that all work meets the required standards.
  • Work Environment: Work with minimal supervision and be able to stand for extended periods, handle heavy loads, and perform tasks that require bending, crouching, and kneeling.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Hours: 40 hours per week.
