About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Insulation Specialist to join our team at WHITEHILL MECHANICAL GROUP LTD. As an Insulation Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the thermal integrity of our clients' buildings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine work requirements and ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Select and apply the appropriate type of insulation required for each project, taking into account factors such as temperature, humidity, and air leakage.
  • Measure and cut insulating materials to the required shape and dimensions using hand and power tools, ensuring accuracy and precision.
  • Apply and secure insulation using various methods, including spraying, blowing, pasting, strapping, taping, and other application and installation techniques.
  • Familiarize yourself with local building codes and regulations, and ensure that all work is performed in compliance with these standards.
  • Collaborate with other tradespeople, such as electricians and plumbers, to ensure a seamless and efficient installation process.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to ensure that insulation is properly installed and functioning as intended.
  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of insulation materials, including their properties, benefits, and limitations.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and advancements in insulation technology, and apply this knowledge to improve our clients' buildings.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a related field.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Physical stamina to perform manual labor and work at heights.
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy loads.
  • Willingness to relocate for work assignments.
