The Role:
We are seeking a Meat Cutter to join our team. This position is integral to our operations, reporting directly to the Meat Manager. The Meat Cutter enhances our co-operative by preparing fresh, high-quality, and well-presented meat products for our clientele.
Key responsibilities include:
- Delivering exceptional customer service that is both friendly and efficient.
- Preparing various cuts of meat for retail using specialized tools and equipment.
- Creating marinated meats and other value-added products.
- Engaging with customers, providing recommendations, and answering inquiries regarding meat cuts and cooking methods.
A comprehensive list of responsibilities will be shared with candidates selected for interviews.
About You:
To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in a retail meat department as a meat cutter; OR
- Formal training in meat cutting, such as the Food Processing (Animal Proteins) program.
