The Opportunity:

We are recruiting for Grocery Clerks and Meat Clerks at our Selkirk Food Store located at Main Street, in Selkirk, Manitoba.

Grocery Clerk Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the Grocery Department is properly stocked with merchandise and faced at all times.
  • Assist in building mass and bunk end displays as required.
  • Maintain sections of merchandise (non-perishable food, dairy, frozen food, general merchandise, health and beauty, bulk food) as assigned in an effective manner.
  • Receive, inspect, and store orders upon delivery to ensure all product is immediately stored in proper temperature-controlled environment.
  • Present a neat, clean, fresh, well-merchandised department and related work areas.

Meat Clerk Responsibilities:

  • Maintain sections of merchandise (fresh, smoked, and frozen meat) as assigned in an effective manner.
  • Ensure the Meat Department is properly stocked with merchandise and faced at all times.
  • Receive, inspect, and store orders upon delivery to ensure all product is immediately stored in proper temperature-controlled environment.
  • Wrap, weigh, label and price cuts of meat for sale on self-serve counter.
