Job Summary:

The Boys & Girls Clubs of the Okanagan is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Program Area Leader to oversee the day-to-day operations of our Recreation Program for Children, Youth, and Families. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating plans and programs to meet the needs of our members.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Recreation Program, ensuring a safe and inclusive environment for all members.
  • Develop and implement programs and activities that promote youth development, health, and wellness.
  • Supervise and mentor staff, providing guidance and support to ensure excellent service delivery.
  • Provide direct supervision of members, ensuring their health, safety, and wellness.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with community partners, stakeholders, and families.
  • Ensure compliance with agency policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Perform general administrative tasks, including data entry and record-keeping.

Qualifications:

  • Diploma or certificate in a related field, such as recreation, education, or social services.
  • Minimum one year of recent experience working with children and youth in a recreation or education setting.
  • Class 5 Driver's License and willingness to obtain Class 4 as soon as possible.
  • First Aid Certificate and Food Safe certification.
