About the Role

Megaton Construction Ltd. is seeking a skilled Masonry Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our construction crew, you will be responsible for laying bricks, concrete blocks, and other masonry units to build residential and commercial structures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and lay masonry units to build walls, chimneys, and other structures
  • Cut and trim masonry units to specification using hand and power tools
  • Construct and install prefabricated masonry units to meet project requirements
  • Lay bricks or other masonry units to build chimneys and fireplaces
  • Lay or install firebricks to line industrial chimneys and smokestacks
Work Environment

You will be working in a fast-paced construction environment, often at heights and in confined spaces. You must be able to handle heavy loads and work in a team setting.

Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required
  • Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in masonry
  • Work setting: Construction, repair, commercial, and residential
  • Security and safety: Must pass a criminal record check
  • Work conditions and physical capabilities: Handling heavy loads, bending, crouching, kneeling
  • Personal suitability: Accurate, client-focused, reliable, and a team player
  • Financial benefits: As per collective agreement, permanent work term, 35 hours per week, and English language
