Job Title: Traffic Signals Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Traffic Signals Engineer to join our team at Primary Engineering & Construction. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing electrical systems for traffic signals and transportation infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement electrical systems designs for traffic signals and transportation infrastructure projects.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project deliverables meet client requirements and company standards.
  • Conduct site inspections and provide technical support to ensure project quality and safety.
  • Prepare and review technical reports, tender documentation, and field support materials.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable regulations, standards, and corporate procedures.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Electrical Engineering, or a related field with a specialization in traffic engineering.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in traffic signal design and operations.
  • P.Eng. or eligibility for registration as a Professional Engineer in Alberta is required.
  • Strong working knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Safety Code, Alberta Transportation Standards, and regional traffic design standards.
  • Proficiency with engineering software, including AutoCAD, MicroStation, and AGi32 lighting design software.
